Highlights
Game Zone!
Partnered with several local buisneses and community
Console Stations | Indie Showcase | Crafts | Pinball!
This was a hub of pinball, consoles, indie demos, and arts! This was an opportunity for those who wanted to relive their favorites or to get hands-on with doing arts and crafts while listening to the shenanigans from the Main stage. We featured Double Jump Games for console play, PIGSquad fresh from their first convention to provide demonstrations from their in-house talent, Dragon Half-Art with their leather work and crafting, and Out of Order Amusement with their small pinball showcase. All agencies are local to SW Washington and the Portland Metro, which gives an opportunity for locals to learn who is near and dear.
Main Stage!
Sponsored by Materia Music
Live Music | Cosplay | Stand-Up Comedy | VGM Jeopardy
This was a linear stage celebrating the prestigious talents from the PNW, such as Bass Pancake, Beat Rush Big Band, and Under the Deku Tree. We also invited Vancouver Music Organization’s Jazz Orchestra and comedian Carl Wolfson to the stage. This stage was sponsored by Seattle’s Materia Music, a bridge between
the Game and Music industries, as their focus is the creation and licensing of hundreds of album releases, as well as digital and printed sheet music from your favorite video games. Curating the stage, thematic to locals and supported by locals, is the ethos of connecting our entertainment to our communities.

Sponsored by VGM Jam Sessions Portland
VGM Jam Sessions | J-Music Jam Sessions | and More!
This is an educational lab that functions as a real-time, collaborative learning environment where musicians develop skills through guided performance, feedback, and peer interaction. VGM Jam Sessions hosted 5 hours of curated and open jam sessions that featured music from popular video games, anime, and even Disney Channel Original tracks as well as welcoming musicians with traditional instruments like the saxophone and the drums and non-traditional instruments like kazoos and ocarinas.

Highlight Video!
Our inaugural event brought together a vibrant community around video game music through live performances, interactive programming, local creators, and volunteers. With five bands, six special guests, 19 vendors, nearly 300 attendees, and a team of around 20 volunteers, we set a strong foundation for an event built to celebrate creativity, connection, and the growing VGM community specifically local in the Pacific Northwest.

To Our Incredible Volunteers: Thank You!
After some reflection and while wrapping up our very first VGMF, we’re pretty lucky to call Vancouver our new home and to give something to our community that they can chill at. Calling Year One a success would be an understatement and every bit of that accomplishment belongs to the people who made it happen.
Pulling off a festival for the first time comes with alot of worries. The volunteers are the ones placing every piece into place as envisioned. Whether tasked with organizing boxes, moving heavy furniture, greeting attendees , or solving last-minute challenges behind the scenes, their energy gave this event its heart.
To everyone who donated their time, energy, and passion to make VGMF possible: thank you. We couldn't have asked for a better crew to build VGMF with, and we are so proud of what we created together.
Here’s to an unforgettable first year and to the community that made it happen!
Special Thanks to our donors who kicked in some extra support.
